2 - General inquiry

[What follows is some feedback for the crutch - more personal preference stuff that Donnie wouldn't have necessarily picked up via measurements and analysis. Included is the suggestion to use four feet for greater stability, and a much cooler-looking arm cuff design.
Sue him, his current one is super lame-looking. If he has to use a crutch it might as well look sick as hell.]
no subject
It's actually...nice? Having someone actually giving him some preferences and feedback in general for what they might expect. After all, Donnie's not the one who's going to be using this thing. But he wants to make it right. And most importantly, he wants to make it awesome.
It might be scary how fast he whips up some "rough" schematics, but before the day is over, he sends over a screenshot of what he has in mind, with the esper's suggestions included. Build notes mention it will have a titanium body.]
no subject
At this rate you're really going to piss off my doctor back in Academy City.
[He was the guy who gave him the first crutch, and this one is going to be leagues better.]
no subject
I miss anything? Or is there anything else you might've thought of to add?

So why is there a cactus sitting on the kitchen table when he comes home from work one day?
His first assumption is that it's a threat, but if it is it's a really dumb one. Besides, his apartment hasn't been trashed like it would've been back home. The only thing out of place is the cactus.
Then it hits him. Honestly, it should've been his first guess. Exasperatedly, he messages Donnie.]

Did you seriously fucking follow me home to find my address one day, then break in when I was out and leave me a goddamn plant?
no subject
Also, you're welcome.
no subject
[Which... Great. He was right on the money.]
What the hell am I supposed to do with this thing?
no subject
Oh, glad you asked. Although that just tells me that you haven't moved it and so have not noticed the directions I wrote and left underneath the pot. Still, I will be happy to enlighten you.
Firstly, cactus of the Mammillaria family are, as with most cacti, a hardy specimen so minimal care is required.
It does require at least 4 hours of sunlight so unless you live like a bat, please leave it in a spot near a window where it can be appeased.
Watering does not have to be frequent, even less so in the winter, only when the dirt is dry. Once every two weeks should suffice.

[It's a simple message, but Archie doesn't really know what else to ask. Pongo's head is resting on his lap as he pets the dog. They're still at the hotel for the moment, Archie scrambling to think of what to do now.]
no subject
Everything still good with you and Pongo? Still at the hotel?
no subject
Anything I can do to help?
no subject
[Not a particular experience he'd care to share with anyone.]
Just been lying low for now. Was kind of out of commission for a while.

invadesvisits the penthouse, there’s a box waiting for him.Inside the box is a cookbook completely full of pizza recipes]
no subject
A box left for him is the last thing he expects. It's not like he does this gift thing just to expect returns, that's actually never something he considers, so he's genuinely surprised to find it. Donnie does have to smirk when he sees what it is. Oh Jason. What a funny guy.]

Action
He's forcing a window open and leaving it on the coffee table, along with Leo's gift. Donnie's will be unwrapped, and there will be a simple note attached saying "For Donatello."]
no subject
Donnie settles on the floor by the coffee table, putting his mug down to pick up the big book and the note, a knowing half-smile tugging at his mouth because who else ever calls him by his full name around here?
He finally has a better look at the book itself, brows lifting at the title before he glances over the summary with a thoughtful hum. This is totally going to feed into his mad exploration of divergent timelines and probably spawn many more sleepless nights, but he's not thinking about that right now. Needless to say, the book and its subject look very intriguing indeed, and Donnie is pleasantly surprised. He tucks the note between the first pages before setting the book down to pick up his phone to shoot off a text.]
See, you're not so bad at this after all.
no subject
Not that he's mentioning any of that. Of course not. This being Accelerator, he's going to downplay any and all effort he put into finding the gift.]
Whatever. It's just a book.
no subject
Not -just- a book. There are literally billions of books in the world so even condensing a list of subjects and titles to choose from is in itself a feat. You could have just picked anything listed a best seller and called it a night.

a delivery
A documents folder has a few schematics for "abandoned" buildings throughout Central City and Excelsior, specifically ones that have accessible underground areas. Some of these areas are simply deep basements, some lead to subways or escape routes. Of these, there are a couple labeled with a sketchy drawing of a possum in the upper right-hand corner: safehouses as claimed by Nulls herself with PC sets ups already in place and nicely stocked kitchens.
There is also a game on the home screen labeled with a possum icon. It's a version of Flappy Bird, but instead of a bird, it's a possum with tiny wings. Gotta stay on brand, right?
